The Village of Owego’s newly launched program, Energy Choices Owego, benefits homeowners and renters by connecting you with contractors who will help you achieve your energy and comfort needs while reducing your heating and cooling bills! Energy Choices Owego is run through a partnership between NeST and the Village of Owego.
Owners and renters of one-to-four family homes in New York State are eligible to receive a no-cost energy assessment through NYSERDA. An energy assessment will reveal how air-sealing and insulation could make your home more comfortable and lower your energy usage and bills.
Learn about your options for efficient heating and cooling technology, including heat pumps. Heat pumps use electricity to heat homes and water instead of combustion-based systems that can produce harmful gases in your home. These technologies are available through the HeatSmart Southern Tier program.
The Village of Owego is partnering with Nexamp to bring Village residents who enroll a 20% discount on their electricity supply and delivery charges. Nexamp is currently enrolling customers for a solar project anticipated to come online this fall.
