The Network for a Sustainable Tomorrow (NeST) is a community-based network of programs working towards social, environmental, and economic justice and equity in our region. NeST catalyzes and convenes new initiatives and partnerships, and does outreach and education to build a stronger and more resilient Southern Tier.

Heat Smart Southern Tier can help you transition your heating and cooling system from fossil fuels to clean energy! HSST provides guidance on home energy efficiency improvements, heat pump technologies, and incentives available for homeowners. Partnering with NYSERDA approved installers across the Southern Tier, we can help you get your project started.
Binghamton Community Power connects residents with resources to lower their energy bills and improve their environment at home. BCP also studies local energy usage through surveys, focus groups, and workshops.
One of Network for a Sustainable Tomorrow’s priorities is promoting community solar, which allows renters and homeowners of all income levels to benefit from solar development. We are currently collaborating with Nexamp to subscribe residents to a community solar project in Aurelius, NY which came online in Fall 2024.
