Adam FlinT
Director of Clean Energy Programs
For the last decade, Adam Flint has directed Clean Energy Programs in New York’s Southern Tier at the Network for a Sustainable Tomorrow (NeST). From supporting low income families to make their homes energy efficient, to working to make community shared solar accessible regardless of income, social and environmental justice has been a driving value throughout his career. He co-created Binghamton Community Power, an alliance of housing, healthcare, community and clean energy organizations and individuals doing energy education and capacity building in the City’s environmental justice neighborhoods. Together with a consortium of community based organizations and NYSERDA, he helped lead the codesign and launch of New York’s $52 million Regional Clean Energy Hubs, a permanent, one-stop education, outreach & workforce program based on a decade of learning by doing.
Sameeha Khan

Sameeha is passionate about achieving environmental justice and a livable world for all. She recently graduated from Binghamton University with her Bachelor’s in Environmental Studies and Philosophy, Politics & Law. She is now pursuing her Master’s Degree in Public Administration through the 3+1 program, where she hopes to learn more about public service and nonprofit administration. Sameeha has worked in various sectors of sustainability and environmental advocacy over the past 5 years, including: conservation with the Central Park Zoo, education with the Climate Resilience Education Task Force, stewardship and justice with the Bronx is Blooming, marketing with New Yorkers for Clean Power, energy equity with Vote Solar, waste diversion with BU Dining Services Sustainability, and fundraising for BU Zero Hour. She now helps lead the NeST’s Energy Corps Internship, coordinate Binghamton Community Power, and assist with NeST’s various programming and administrative goals.

Rachael is a dynamic leader specializing in green infrastructure and clean technology. Her diverse background includes expertise in Commercial Scale Solar and Battery Project Development, Smart Grid Deployment and Operations, Battery Recycling Operations, and Sustainability in Chemical Production.
Peter Knuepfer

Peter combines deep academic insight with actionable community leadership. Serving as an Associate Professor Emeritus of Geological Sciences and Environmental Studies at Binghamton University and the Vice-Chair of NeST, his core expertise lies in natural hazards assessment and environmental impact.

Robert is highly focused on building the foundational knowledge for tomorrow’s green workforce. Through his leadership role at SUNY Broome, he channels his primary expertise into Clean Energy Education and Workforce Development (WFD).
Hajra Aziz

Hajra is a dedicated community advocate and educator with an MSW. In her role as Executive Director of the Southern Door Community Land Trust, she focuses her expertise on affordable housing non-profit and program management, social justice, and youth engagement.

Sadaf Bilal Ansari

Sadaf Bilal Ansari, is a climate policy and data-driven professional with over seven years of international experience, in North America, South Asia, and East Africa, designing monitoring and evaluation frameworks. She holds an MS in Environmental Policy and Planning, Master of Architecture, and executive training in Climate Leadership from the Harvard Kennedy School. As a NeST Advisory Board Member and Co-Founder of Buiscons, she provides strategic executive consultation to drive impactful program development and equitable clean energy access for local underserved communities in Upstate NY.
